The history of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people is an important component of Los Angeles’ social and cultural history. The City has already recognized some of the places that exemplify this history, such as the Black Cat (Historic-Cultural Monument #939), the site of one of the nation’s first documented gay rights demonstrations. SurveyLA needs your help to ensure that lesser known places that are important to LGBT history are documented as well.
